PRIVATE TEACHING
My career in teaching Jewellery making began at Kensington and Chelsea College where I taught evening classes for 10 years before leaving to teach privately in my workshop. Evening classes was my own introduction to Jewellery and I am passionate about the benefits of finding a worthwhile and absorbing hobby to reduce the stresses of modern life.
These days I prefer to run one to one workshops for those interested in developing their collections and requiring mentoring. I am also happy to help designers who are not jewellers see ideas come to life and have helped several creatives launch their jewellery collections.
Since my introduction to teaching I have seen many of my students follow very successful careers as Jewellers which is very rewarding. In my gallery we have an artist in residence scheme which allows jewellers to use our fully equipped workshop for free in exchange for a day every fortnight working in the gallery.
